Warehouse & packaging automation

Integrate conveyors, packaging equipment, identification, labeling, inspection, sorting and pallet handling into a coordinated material-flow system with PLC control and clear operator diagnostics.

Control the complete material flow, not just individual machines

Packaging and warehouse systems become difficult to operate when conveyors, printers, scanners, machines and reject devices behave as separate islands.

Techsmart can integrate these functions around a common control strategy: tracking, interlocks, accumulation, line states, alarms, product identification and communication with upstream or downstream equipment. Existing lines can also be upgraded without replacing every machine.

Automation capabilities

Conveyors & accumulation

Zone control, product spacing, buffering, transfers, merges, diverts, jams and controlled restart logic.

Packaging integration

Interface case packers, sealers, wrappers, weighers and other packaging equipment with line-level control.

Print & apply

Trigger industrial labeling, exchange product data and confirm label presence or code readability.

Identification & tracking

Use barcode, 2D code, RFID or production IDs to route products and associate process results.

Inspection & reject

Verify codes, labels, presence or packaging condition and coordinate reject devices or rework routing.

PLC/HMI modernization

Replace obsolete controllers, improve diagnostics and create operator interfaces that show where and why flow has stopped.

Design priorities for reliable material flow

01

Define states

Running, blocked, starved, faulted, manual and recovery states need predictable behavior.

02

Track products

Know where each product or load is when identification, routing or verification matters.

03

Manage faults

Diagnostics should tell operators the cause and recovery action instead of only stopping the line.

04

Validate interfaces

Handshake logic between machines must remain stable during stops, restarts and partial availability.

Retrofit existing warehouse and packaging equipment

Many projects do not require a completely new line. Conveyor sections, sensors, scanners, labelers, drives, PLCs and HMIs can often be upgraded selectively when the mechanical system is still suitable.

The key is to define the existing interfaces and failure modes before changing the controls, so production recovery and manual modes remain manageable.
