Capture the as-built condition

Photograph machine position, cable routing, pneumatic and hydraulic connections, guarding, sensors, cabinets and interfaces with upstream and downstream equipment. Mark assemblies that can be confused during reinstallation.

Back up control systems

Where access is available, capture PLC, HMI, drive and recipe backups before power is removed. Record network settings and device addresses. An undocumented controller failure after relocation can otherwise turn a mechanical move into a control-system recovery project.

Record alignment and interfaces

Critical machine levels, reference dimensions, conveyor heights, product transfer points and utility connections should be measured. The destination layout must reproduce the interfaces that matter to operation.

Plan recommissioning

Recommissioning should progress from mechanical checks to power and I/O verification, dry cycles, interlocks, product trials and production acceptance. This sequence makes faults easier to isolate.
